Principal's Message
Dear Graduates,
Congratulations to the Class of 2022! You’ve made it … just about … as you enter the last 12 weeks of high school, we want to inform you of commencement plans we are organizing to celebrate your graduation. With the current public health restrictions from the provincial government, we are planning to celebrate your high school graduation on Friday, May 20. We are anticipating that the entire grad class will be able to gather at the Bell Centre and that you can invite 2 family members/guests to celebrate with you as you receive your graduation folder. If there are future public health orders that cancel this event, we are also considering a June 2022 one day date. Looking ahead Mr. Sahota and the Grad Council have booked a Boat Cruise for Thursday, April 28. Last, the Grad Dinner Dance is scheduled at Tsawwassen Springs Monday, June 20; followed by Dry Grad at the Metro Hall, New Westminster. All four graduation events will require that grads who participate will be students in “good standing”. (i.e., attendance, lates, passing grades, grad standing, discipline record all count; school debts will need to be cleared). Posted beside C126 and C127 is the make up schedule for the cancelled January 2022 Literacy 12, Literacy 10, Numeracy 10 graduation assessments. Please remember to locate your EFP 12 class from Semester One to identify which day and time you will write. For Semester Two EFP 12 students, you will be writing June 13-17. Schedule to be posted in early May. As these next three months unfold, we want to assure all graduates that your school staff is committed to celebrating your milestone achievement. Please share this letter with your parents and family so that they too can plan for this commencement ceremony. More information regarding pick up of graduation gowns, photo booths, scholarships, awards, bursaries, virtual speeches, car parking and grad group logistics will be forthcoming next month. Until then, “Make it a great spring, MUSTANGS!” Sincerely, Ms. Farquhar, Principal & LAM Graduation Committee 2022 |
